In My Dreams Page 5

“Hello there, baby boy. I got tired of waiting, so I came back to the hotel,” she whispered against his lips.

“Sorry, sweetheart, I did miss your presence,” he murmured before sliding his tongue over hers eagerly. “Mmm … can’t you tell?” he asked, pumping his hips against hers. He was hard and ready for her, and thanks to his penchant for waking her up with arousal, her pussy was soaked and her body was nearly feverish with need.

“Yeah, I can tell,” she whispered with a smile that matched his before gripping his tattoo-sleeved arm tightly for just a moment. He growled and turned her onto her back so that he could pin her down fully with his kisses. Her body was covered in flush of heat, making her tease him with a question of her own:

“You want to feel how much I missed you too, James?”

She gripped his hand and slid it along the inside of her left thigh, higher and higher, slowly so she could draw out the anticipation. Not that it needed to be drawn out. He followed her lead, alternating between her sparkling eyes and the steady progress of his eager fingers. She moaned softly and arched into him when he cupped her through the smooth cotton of her sky blue panties.

His fingers flexed and relaxed rhythmically inviting her hips to mimic the motion. She nodded when he swirled his hand in circles, silently thanking him for the friction against the slick heat between her quivering thighs.

She gripped his arm and used her other hand to pull him closer to her, to close the space between their bodies with her lips. He was in the mood to tease her. He smiled and flicked his tongue against her upper lip. But he didn’t give in to the long deep kiss she wanted, just a swift graze of her tongue and the taste of a shaky gasp when he pushed aside her panties and plunged his middle finger inside of her. She clenched him reflexively and let her head fall backwards. His thumb was circling her clit in time with his middle finger, strumming her as expertly has he done his guitar strings. She was singing a sweet melody for him just as he knew she would.

“Look at me. I want to see my little girl come.”

She did as she was commanded and did so willingly. There was no pleasure greater than the one she got from his eyes, the look of rapt concentration centered on her face and body as she succumbed to him. She could see his hunger mounting, could feel him straining against his jeans when she reached over and cupped him again. He bucked into her hand immediately.

  “Please, James. Please…”

“Take that off,” he said gruffly, seemingly ignoring her pleas.

She arched and shuddered as he hit a particularly sweet spot, then ripped her blue nightgown off as quickly as humanly possible.

“Now,” he taunted, his breath fanning out over her left breast. “What’s that you were asking me?”

She bit down on her lip harder and exhaled sharply he gave her taut nipple a firm lick before sucking it between his full lips.

“Please, James. You know what I want…F-fuck…”

“You’re a big girl now, Destiny,” he said with a soft smile. He kissed the hand that stroked his hair and face.

“You want something from me; you know how to ask, don’t you?”

He slid two fingers into her and quickened his pace. From a distance, she heard a soft, quiet chuckle. God, she loved the way he made her feel, almost as much as she loved his music.

She turned to face him again, knowing that part of it was that she needed to look at him, that the next part was as much her pleasure as it was his, the begging, the pleading, the heightened sense of need in her words.

“Please, fuck me. I want to feel you inside me.”

Faster still his fingers worked, with her hips following just a second behind.

“Ahh God, please, James, p-please give it to me, and please give me that hard…” Nothing but a gasp followed.

“But you’re so close. You sure you want to switch it up now?”

“Fuck me,” she managed to hiss. “Now!”

He slowly pulled his fingers out of the slick, clenching heat of her pussy and slid them into his mouth. He smiled when her eyes seemed to melt with hunger, and her hands ran down her body to tug her panties off.

James reached behind his neck and peeled off his t-shirt. The second it was lifted off his torso, her mouth was on his chest and her hands were undoing his belt.

“Shit,” he groaned and cupped the back of her head when her tongue began tracing the tattoos swirling on side of his torso.

She turned him over, pressing his back to the bed and stepping off it just long enough to pull his shoes, socks, jeans and boxer briefs off. Before he could think or push himself further up the bed, she was straddling his hips and guiding him to her entrance. It almost felt too good, her slick walls clenched preemptively, and she forced herself to relax so that she could take him all in. Finally, with a moan of triumph she settled on him, buried to the hilt in two strokes.

“Ugh…fuck, Destiny, I missed this tight pussy,” he groaned when she rotated her hips and dug her nails into his chest. “That’s it sweetheart, grind on it.”

“How do you mean, baby boy?” she teased. “You mean like this?” She moved her hips forwards and backwards, as if the lower half of her body was a rowing machine. “Or like this?” she asked, making tight circles and squeezing him from within.

He bit down on his bottom lip and grasped the feminine curve of her hips in his large hands to pull her tighter to him.

“Can’t hear you, baby boy. Which one do you like? Or maybe,” she hissed, “you like it better when I go up and down?”

Her body demonstrated, sliding up to the tip of his teeming cock and then sitting back down, taking him completely into her body. He showed he liked it by grasping her full breasts in each hand, thumbing the nipples and then squeezing them the way her tight body was squeezing him. His hips rocked into hers, so that soon their bodies were crashing into each other with the practiced precision of long time lovers.

“Yes, yes, yes, yes…fuck me; make me come, make me feel it…”

He sat up, getting balance with arm braced behind him, while he grasped her ass firmly with his free hand. She wrapped her arms around his neck and rode him faster, harder, the bed bouncing beneath their weight. Her rhythm only faltered when he sucked hard and deep on her breasts, alternating between the two with a growing fervor as his orgasm raced hers to the surface.

“Motherfucker,” he groaned into her neck, pulling her closer still, trying to merge with her down to her very cells. His biceps flexed to full capacity, keeping her ribs from fully expanding. Not that she could take a deep breath anyway. Her breath was little more than shallow, with desperate pants that left her light headed and grasping him for security.

“Close,” she moaned, “Almost there, almost there, almost…”

Never one to miss a good opportunity, James flipped her over, pinning her to the bed with his weight and relentless thrusts. His arms were still wrapped around her, holding her fast to him. One hand snaked through her hair and tugged her head back so that he could attack her neck with licks and bites. Her shaking legs lifted and wrapped around his waist. One hand slapped the space above her head, the fingers of her other hand twisted in the sheets so hard she thought she might rip out a chunk of the mattress.

“Come on!” he hissed in her ear. “That’s it little girl, show me. Show me how much you missed me.”

She growled and arched her back as much as she could under his weight and the pounding he was giving her. Her eyes rolled back in her head, her mouth parted but no sound came out. It didn’t matter. She didn’t need to make a sound for him to know that he’d done his job. Her body stilled, clenched him from within, pumped against his with a tremulous moan, and then relaxed into a series of sporadic tremors that pushed him to the edge. With her pleasure secured, he could move towards his own. He tucked his head into her neck, listening to the sound of their slick bodies joining and separating with increasing speed while she panted desperately in his ear. He pushed faster, pumped hard, and j
umped off the ledge of pleasure. Suspended in air he stilled, trembling; only a groan and a plaintive cry escaping his throat.

  “Fuck, Des, fuck! Oh, fuck…”

Then he fell, wave after wave of pleasure spilling out of him and into her still pulsing core. He died and was reborn again within her, shuddering to completion the way only she could make him.

He came back to earth when he felt her nipping at his ear. Still inside of her, still rocking against the last remnants of pleasure, he lifted his head and kissed her gently.

“I love kissing you,” he said softly between kisses that were tender and hungry, just like his desire for her.

“I love kissing you,” she answered, merging her words with a smile that touched his lips. “God, I love kissing you…”

They showed each other how much for several hours that night, until they both fell asleep exhausted and full from feeding their repressed longing.

  Chapter Thirteen

James decided that they would have a morning of shopping on Rodeo Drive. For the most part, Destiny had made it clear that under no circumstances was she a charity case. She had wanted to tip waiters at restaurants and buy her own trinkets. James smiled at her independence. He had been having a good time with her and if he admitted it to himself, he wanted to see her more. He thought about what she would be willing to do when the weekend was over. He could get used to having her around. But how would he approach the subject.

He was able to relax around her, and that meant the world to him. His lifestyle was hectic and it took a special kind of girl to deal with all the bullshit he had to put up with. Des had done that and more. In the short time they were together, the phone calls, the changing of plans and the paparazzi hadn’t fazed her once. She had not missed a step nor did she lose her cool.

More importantly, he liked that she lived a life that was full and had a real sense about who she was. He had always thought that being with a woman not in “the life” would be hard because they would not understand the schedule demands. However, Destiny from their conversations was just as busy and, in her own right, was the rock star. He wondered if she would consider exploring whatever it was that was between them. Could he love an ordinary girl? Shit! She’s not some ordinary girl, asshole. She is everything you want and need. She could be the one.

It did not take James long to become fond of a woman that he decided that he wanted to be involved with. He, also, knew that not everyone would want to be involved with a famous rock star. He could only hope that she was willing to give it a go.

She was so excited and nervous about being seen in public with him that it had taken twice as long to get ready, and in her nervousness she became uncharacteristically klutzy, causing her to bump into almost every piece of furniture in her hotel room. She had finally settled on a modest butter yellow sundress with spaghetti straps. She wore a comfortable pair of sandals, and put her hair up in a high ponytail so she wouldn’t fidget with it if she got nervous, finishing her look with some mascara and clear lip gloss.

The first thing James told her when he came to pick her up was that she looked beautiful. Whether he was saying it because it was true, or because she looked like she might start to hyperventilate with the need for reassurance, was another story.

During the drive, James pointed out the places he used to go, things that had changed, and things that had stayed the same. Los Angeles was a beautiful city. It made her feel so special that he gave her a glimpse of where he’d lived his life before the world even knew he existed. Most importantly, she felt special that he was willing to share it with her. She was especially happy when he mentioned he wanted to stop by his parent’s house to see his brother who had come into to town for a business meeting. He assured her that it would only be an hour and if things got too uncomfortable that they would leave sooner. Destiny did not know what to expect but her essay did call for originality and this was pretty original. The fact that he was willing to allow her into his personal space and meet his family really did make her feel closer to him.

The sun started its descent, and they were in a good mood, blaring the radio. Spring flowed through the open windows. Destiny was ridiculously giddy and couldn’t stop touching James because of it. She ran her fingers through his hair and listened as he sang along to the music. It always surprised her how good his voice was, since he rarely sang outside of work.

He didn’t like to show off, but today he was in an extremely good mood. When they had stopped by James’ family home, his family had loved Destiny, even his gruff, he-man father. James had almost pissed himself when his father gave Destiny a brief hug before they left. He wasn’t the affectionate type, and his father had made it clear after the break up with Mary that he didn’t think James was making many good decisions concerning his life. He may not have completely agreed with James’s choices, but he couldn’t deny that James was happy, either. And he couldn’t deny that James’s choice in a girlfriend had pleased him. James was now thinking about Destiny. Was he willing to let the weekend end the attraction hw was feeling toward her. Even his family had called her his girlfriend. She had not corrected them, and he hadn’t mind it either.

Since it was on the way home, he decided to make one more stop before they headed back to his house. It was funny how familiar the street were, how the road was still there when he turned and drove to the famous Hollywood sign. It took him all the way to the clearing at the top of a hill that overlooked the city. It always reminded him of those lover’s lane images he’d seen in movies. This had been his favorite place growing up, the place he went when he just wanted to get away from people for a while, and he wanted to share it with Destiny. They parked, grabbed a blanket he kept in his trunk, and then he took her hand and led her to a spot under the largest tree in the clearing.

Destiny snuggled into the fold of James’s tattooed arms, her back leaning against his chest, and stared out at the view. The streetlights below lit up. Headlights and brake lights blinked, and streetlights came on, as did some porch lights one house at a time. It was calming to watch all that hustle below from such a quiet spot. They had front row seats to the sunset, and Destiny relaxed against James’s body, breathing in the fresh air and feeling at peace.

“Thank you for taking me on a tour around L.A.,” she said after a long, comfortable silence. “I really had a lot of fun.”

“Thanks for letting me show you some of the non-touristy spots. It was more fun with you here. My family really liked you too” His voice was a quiet rumble against her temple, and his lips were soft against her skin when he gave her a quick kiss.

She smiled, thinking over the events of the day and the impression she had of L.A. and James’s love for it.

Destiny let her thoughts sink in while she watched the scenery below. James found himself caught up in watching her face. It still hit him hard how beautiful she was, especially when she smiled as she was doing now. Those dark eyes glittered, her cute nose crinkled and the slight hint of dimples manifested themselves when she smiled. Time stood still when she giggled, and her full lips spread to make way for her wide grin. He got to feel a little peace, a little something he could store within him like his music, and he knew this was yet another moment in time that he would keep with him, a good memory that he could return to when he was having a bad day.

His lips pressed right against her ear, he whispered, “I could fall in love with you, little girl.”

It took a second for his words to register. It took another second for her heart to stop and her breath to grow short. She was still, leaning against his body, trying to do something besides blink. Blood rushed in her ears, over her skin, and she felt like she’d never been more painfully aware of the world around her and the feelings flooding her body.

James felt as though he would die. She still hadn’t said anything. She hadn’t moved. He’d told himself that he was saying it just for him, just so that she would know. He was looking for the right girl, and
by all accounts, she was standing in front of him (figuratively). In that moment, he had to tell her. He wished she would fucking say something. Anything! He would settle for anything in the English language, some sign that she heard him and wasn’t freaking out. He swallowed hard, cleared his throat. He was trying to find words himself.

“What did you say?” Her voice was so quiet, he almost didn’t hear her. But he did, and even though his throat felt constricted, and his body felt like it was starting to shake, he pressed on.

“He said it again. “I could easily fall in love with you, Destiny. I might be falling for you.”

The look on her face when she turned in his arms to stare into his eyes stole his breath. She looked shocked …or scared. Her eyes were wide and glassy. She seemed to blink in slow motion; those dark lashes fanning up and down were the only thing between him and the power of her gaze. She had one hand on his knee, the other lying limply in her lap. She rested on her knees between his legs while he leaned back against the tree trunk, waiting anxiously for her to say something.

Finally, when he thought he’d die if she were silent one more second, he said, “You don’t have anything to say?

“Normally it’s the girl that says she is falling for the rock star, but you have just made my whole weekend. I could easily fall in love with you, too. I know your lifestyle is crazy, and I only saw a weekend of it, but you have made me feel so special this weekend. More than I could ever imagine in my wildest dreams, you did not make me feel like a tag along or a charity case. I really don’t have the words,” she muttered.

The smile she gave him was little more than an upward turn at the corners of her lips, and she looked as if she were still in a daze. Then she said, “Thank you for your honesty and transparency.”

There were no more words, but what they lacked in sound, they made up for in movement. Destiny leaned in, resting her hand on his chest, over his heart. James sat up and gently took her face in his hands, bringing his face closer to hers. He realized just before his lips touched hers that he was grinning, really grinning. And when their lips met, he breathed his relief into her waiting mouth.
